This month at DPI (UK – United Kingdom) Ltd we’ve invested in a brand new, automated Elumatec DG104 twin headed mitre saw for light box manufacturing to support growing demand for our tensioned fabric displays from the large format printing trade and creative agencies in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland.
As we offer the largest variety of retail display light box frame profiles for use in tension fabric retail displays on the market, a massive increase in demand made this investment a necessity. The exciting new saw doubles manufacturing capacity and provides an additional capability to cut variable angles and much larger light box manufacturing profiles. With a computerised display, what was a manual job is now automated, easier and faster and now it’s fully commissioned, this machinery has already proved its worth.
From our beautiful factory with FREE parking and new showroom based here in Castle Donington in the East Midlands in the United Kingdom, we manufacture aluminium frames and light boxes used with tensioned fabric graphics for retail display. Finished light box frame products are wall-mounted, free standing, or suspended from the ceiling and can be illuminated (light box). And through trusted print partners, DPI (United Kingdom – UK) can also supply printed fabrics with the frame hardware. Widely used by major retailers, in airports and for conferences and exhibitions, fabric graphics are printed via Dye Sublimation, Latex or UV (Ultra Violet) devices, then push-fit on to frames and folded or rolled enabling them to be cost effectively shipped.
This latest large manufacturing investment has had a positive effect, both on our order book and on staff morale. An immediate increase in productivity has meant meeting very tight lead-times.
